Why we do this
Look closer.
Make it real.
Good things often hold more than meets the eye. We look closer, find what's really there, and give it a shape people can see and keep.
Today, that means good local businesses: we build their website before anyone asks. Here's why ↓
What we believe
Good work deserves to be understood — not just found.
Some of the best businesses we know are the busiest. They're out on a roof, behind the counter, under a car. Their reputation travels the old way: from one customer to the next.
That works beautifully with people who already know them. But someone new to the area gets a list of names and a row of stars — and none of the reasons people actually choose them.
We'd like those reasons to be the first thing a stranger sees.
Our name
Two words, one habit.
Cheeky
A little forward
Building your website before you've asked for it is a bit cheeky. We know. So we do all the work first, take the risk ourselves, and leave the decision entirely to you.
Foundry
Where things take shape
A foundry turns something without a shape into something that lasts. We do the same with a good reputation: we take what your customers already say and cast it into something people can find, read and keep.
How we work
Four promises we keep.
We look past the surface
A star rating doesn't tell you why people come back. We start from what's already good about your business, using only what you've chosen to make public.
We make it real
We'd rather show you than pitch you. Your sample site exists before we ask you for anything — not a single penny, not even a phone call.
We say how sure we are
Our reading of your business is a first impression, not a verdict. Samples are labelled, photos are marked as illustrative, and anything we couldn't check is left for you to fill in. If we've read you wrong, tell us — that's the most useful thing you could do.
It's yours to keep
Your domain is registered in your name from day one. If you ever leave, we hand over your domain and a copy of your site, at no charge.
How we use AI. We use it for the legwork — gathering public details and drafting a first version — so that a good website is affordable for a small business. The thinking and the care stay human: every sample and every letter is read and approved by a person before anything is posted.
A note from the founder
“I'm curious by nature — I like finding good things that more people should know about. When I find one, I'd rather build something than talk about it. If I've read your business wrong, tell me. That's the most useful thing you could do.”

What we'll never do
Cheeky, never pushy.
- Call you to sell, or chase you after our letter.
- Invent reviews, prices, qualifications or guarantees.
- Copy another business's words or photos.
- Charge you anything before you've seen your site and agreed the terms.
- Write again after you've said “No thanks”. That's permanent.
